Screwman (Screed Operator) – Asphalt Paver

About the role

Al Marwan Group is seeking a Screwman (Screed Operator) to join its road‑construction teams in Sharjah. The role involves operating and adjusting the screed system of asphalt paver machines to achieve the required paving width, thickness, level, slope and alignment on infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and continuously adjust the screed system of asphalt paver machines during paving operations.
• Maintain target paving dimensions (width, thickness, level, slope, alignment) and monitor material flow.
• Collaborate closely with the Paver Operator, Grade Checker, Surveyor and Foreman to ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Assist in maintaining proper asphalt temperature and material distribution.
• Perform basic cleaning and routine maintenance of the screed and related equipment.
• Report any machine or paving issues promptly and follow all HSE and site‑safety procedures.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Screwman or Screed Operator on asphalt paver machines (minimum 1 month).
• Good knowledge of asphalt paving, screed adjustment, and surface finishing.
• Experience on road and infrastructure projects, preferably within the GCC/UAE.
• Ability to work effectively with Paver Operators, Grade Checkers, Surveyors and site teams.
