About the role
The Second Officer will support the Master in safe navigation and vessel operations, handling sea, port and anchor watches and assisting with voyage planning.
Key responsibilities
- Perform sea, port and anchor watches according to the Master’s instructions.
- Plan voyages and maintain the Log Book.
- Correct and order charts, nautical publications and other documents to meet IMO flag requirements.
- Supervise and check navigational equipment, lights and day marks.
Required profile
- High School Diploma.
- Officer of Watch Unlimited certificate (II/2).
- Minimum 2 years experience as Second Officer on anchor handling tugs.
- Good English communication skills.
- Knowledge of safe practices for anchor handling and towing operations.
Required skills
- Officer of Watch Unlimited certification.
- Proficiency in English communication.
- Familiarity with anchor handling and towing procedures.
