Secondary Business Management Teacher (IB) – August Start

About the role

GEMS International School, Al Khail is seeking an experienced Secondary Business Management Teacher to join its IB‑World community starting in August 2026. The role involves delivering inquiry‑based Business Management lessons to a diverse student body and contributing to the school’s culture of innovation and international‑mindedness.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, inquiry‑based Business Management lessons that foster critical thinking.
• Create an inclusive classroom environment that supports varied learning styles, including EAL and gifted learners.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students, providing additional support where required.
• Integrate technology and innovative teaching approaches to enhance learning.
• Assess, record, and communicate student progress, using data to inform personalised support.
• Collaborate with colleagues to design and refine IB‑aligned curriculum, resources, and assessments.
• Participate in co‑curricular activities, school events, and community initiatives.
• Build positive relationships with parents and the wider school community.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and uphold GEMS values and the IB Learner Profile.

Required profile

• A degree‑level teaching qualification (e.g., B.Ed, PGCE, PGDE) in Business or a related field.
• Minimum three years of experience teaching Secondary Business Management, preferably within an IB curriculum.
• Experience with MYP and DP is advantageous.
• Demonstrated passion for innovative, inquiry‑based teaching.
• Commitment to the school’s vision, energy, and educational philosophy.
