About the role
GEMS Education is hiring a full-time Chemistry Teacher for its secondary school in Dubai. The teacher delivers the required curriculum, plans and runs engaging lessons and supports the academic progress and well-being of students.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver the required curriculum with accurate, up-to-date knowledge of the subject and curriculum.
- Plan and deliver quality lessons that motivate students, using materials and the classroom environment suited to different learning styles.
- Maintain records of curriculum and year plans, attendance, teaching resources and assessment plans.
- Assess, record and report on students' academic development, progress and attainment, using assessment to meet individual needs.
- Promote students' general progress and well-being and give them guidance on educational matters.
Required profile
- Masters degree in Chemistry and a B.Ed; distance and open university degrees are not accepted.
- At least 4 years of teaching experience in the CBSE and IGCSE curricula.
- UAE experience preferred.
