Security Assurance Specialist – AWS Compliance (UAE)

About the role

Amazon Web Services is seeking a Security Assurance Specialist to support AWS cybersecurity initiatives in the UAE. The role involves working with internal and external stakeholders to design solutions for complex compliance challenges and to demonstrate AWS security controls to regulated customers.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with customers, regulators, and auditors to articulate AWS control implementations and compliance implications.
• Develop deep understanding of Amazon’s security controls and global regulatory requirements, and communicate how they meet local standards.
• Drive continuous improvement of security programs, share best‑practice frameworks, and act as a trusted advisor across multiple teams.

Required profile

• UAE national.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Risk Management, Engineering, Math, Statistics or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in IT audits, assessments of cloud environments, and work in highly regulated industries.
• Business‑level proficiency in English (written and verbal) and Arabic (verbal).
