Security Officer – 8‑Month Contract (Sira License Required)

About the role

Join the Sofitel Dubai The Palm team as a Security Officer on an 8‑month contract. You will ensure the safety of guests, staff and property while delivering professional, proactive service in a luxury 5‑star resort environment.

Key responsibilities

• Patrol all areas of the hotel and surrounding grounds to maintain safety and security.
• Manage trespassers and unauthorized individuals, conducting security and baggage checks as needed.
• Monitor CCTV systems and respond to incidents, vehicle violations, and fire prevention alerts.
• Provide first aid, casualty care and address guest or staff concerns promptly.
• Record daily shift activities and communicate relevant information to other departments.

Required profile

• Previous security or safety experience in a luxury hotel environment is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal and conflict‑resolution abilities.
• Ability to work rotating, split and extended shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• Proven teamwork skills in a multicultural setting and a calm, courteous demeanor.

Required skills

• Current First Aid and CPR certification (Advanced First Aid preferred).
• Fire safety or firefighter training is an asset.
• Sira security licence (mandatory for this role).
