Senior Accountant – Finance & Reporting Lead

About the role

The Senior Accountant will lead day‑to‑day accounting operations, ensure accurate monthly and quarterly reporting, and support payroll, vendor payments and budgeting. As the business grows, the role will also assist with invoicing, receivables, commercial accounting and potential ERP transitions.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting activities and cash management.
• Prepare and review monthly and quarterly financial statements.
• Manage payroll accounting and employee settlements.
• Process vendor payments, receipts and cash flow.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
• Ensure VAT compliance, audit support and corporate tax filings.
• Coordinate with head office on financial matters.
• Control assets, conduct stock‑taking and support internal projects.
• Supervise accounting team and drive process improvements.
• Assist with future business transitions such as ERP migration.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Professional qualification (CA, ACCA, CPA, CMA) preferred.
• 7–10 years of accounting experience, including 2–3 years in a senior or supervisory role.
• Strong background in UAE accounting, month‑end/year‑end closing and VAT.
• Experience with Sage Accounting & Payroll; exposure to SAP or other ERP systems is a plus.
• Previous work in a multinational or regional office, preferably in trading, automotive or commercial sectors.
