Senior Accountant – GBS Controlling

About the role

The Senior Accountant will lead the financial controlling function for Al-Futtaim Group across the UAE, Qatar and Oman. Working closely with business units, shared services, group entities and external partners, you will ensure accurate accounting, reporting, compliance and audit activities.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate cash collection summaries for stores, central units and restaurants, and resolve related system issues.
• Reconcile collection data in Navision at month‑end and liaise with Record‑to‑Report (R2R) and Order‑to‑Cash (O2C) teams.
• Perform daily reconciliations of e‑commerce debtors, receipts, sales, deferred sales, tax and deferred tax accounts.
• Manage cash‑on‑delivery reconciliations and ensure proper posting of COD, sales and tax entries.
• Collaborate with IT, call‑center and third‑party service providers to resolve system discrepancies.
• Maintain VAT reconciliation documentation between Navision and SAP and support group tax audits.
• Provide audit support, including data provision and schedule preparation.
• Execute purchase and inventory reconciliations between Navision and SAP.
• Work with the shared services AP team to monitor vendor‑related GL accounts.

Required profile

• Proven experience in accounting or finance within a multi‑entity environment.
• Strong understanding of cash collection, VAT, and intercompany reconciliations.
• Ability to work with cross‑functional teams and external auditors.
