Senior Accountant - Immediate Start

About the role

Aldar Education are currently seeking an outstanding Senior Accountant to join their team in Abu Dhabi. This is an exciting opportunity to join the highly successful Aldar family of schools and to help shape the future of Abu Dhabi’s leading school group.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure Accounts Receivable GL accounts are accurate and collections are within due dates.
• Support the Principal to build or modify the school budget and review monthly MIS.
• Process invoicing for tuition fees, exam fees, trips and other billing accurately and on time.
• Call parents daily to follow up on payment collection and issue receipts for bank reconciliation.
• Provide bank statements with receipt numbers to the Treasury Accountant for receipt clearing.
• Manage petty cash in accordance with company policies and delegation of authority.
• Ensure revenue recognition and AR GL accuracy before month‑end close.
• Coordinate with HQ finance for the school annual budget and strategic plan preparation.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in a finance function.
• Professional qualification with at least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Advanced knowledge of accounting principles.
• Advanced communication and presentation skills.
• Advanced administration skills.
• Experience with average accounting software.
