Senior Accountant (MRS)

About the role

Masdar is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to manage day‑to‑day finance and accounting operations for its renewable energy projects. The role involves journal entry, AP/AR processing, cash management, and preparation of periodic financial statements in line with Masdar policies and IFRS.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily accounts payable and receivable activities, including invoice approval, purchase order creation, and vendor matching.
• Maintain the fixed assets register, execute month‑end reconciliations, and prepare bank statements and cash flow reports.
• Record project transactions in the general ledger, manage accruals, and ensure timely closing of books on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Prepare management reports, financial analyses, and group reporting packages while monitoring project budgets and costs.
• Oversee payroll processing, timesheets, and employee leave accounting.

Required profile

• 8‑10 years of experience in bookkeeping, AP/AR, cash management, UAE VAT, and financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, IFRS, and Masdar’s financial policies.
• Detail‑oriented with excellent time‑management and organizational abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, especially Excel.
• Hands‑on experience with Oracle ERP or similar financial management software.
