Senior Accountant – Trucking Industry

About the role

WeOne is looking for a detail‑oriented Senior Accountant with experience in the trucking sector to join its finance team in JAFZA. The role involves managing daily accounting tasks, supporting month‑end processes, and ensuring accurate financial reporting and audit readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in month‑end closing, including journal entries, accruals, and financial reporting.
• Review and reconcile the trial balance on a monthly basis.
• Record supplier invoices accurately, ensuring proper documentation and approvals.
• Perform regular supplier statement reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare and analyse monthly gross profit reports.
• Verify supplier documents during onboarding to ensure compliance with company policies.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.
• Ensure all accounting activities comply with relevant regulations and internal controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; MBA, MCom, CPA or CA preferred.
• 4–6 years of relevant accounting experience, including strong hands‑on experience in accounts receivable and general accounting.
• Proven ability to manage supplier onboarding, invoice booking, and month‑end activities.
• Experience in the trucking or logistics industry is advantageous.
