Senior Assistant Buyer

About the role

The Senior Assistant Buyer will support the buying team in all operational and administrative tasks for an assigned luxury fashion category. Working in a hybrid environment, you will ensure that purchase information is accurate, suppliers are coordinated, and merchandise flows smoothly from order to delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate seasonal buy data, including purchase orders, product details, and order confirmations.
• Update buying records, files, trackers, and databases within required timelines.
• Collaborate with Merchandise Administration Assistants to keep purchase‑order trackers current on a daily basis.
• Assist the Buying team with purchase‑order creation, weekly reporting, and shipment status updates.
• Prepare pre‑buy reports for Buyers ahead of market appointments.
• Collect and submit vendor setup documentation to the supplier portal.
• Work with Finance on new‑vendor creation, brand onboarding, and supplier bank‑detail updates.
• Follow up with suppliers to confirm timely shipment of merchandise.

Required profile

• Strong organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Passion for luxury fashion and a solid understanding of the buying process.
• Ability to work collaboratively with Buying, Planning, Merchandising, Finance, Logistics, and Content teams.
