Senior Associate Architect

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Associate Architect to join AECOM’s architectural team in Dubai. In this role you will lead the design of commercial and residential projects, mentor junior staff and work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative, code‑compliant solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead concept, design and development of building projects from inception to completion.
• Prepare detailed architectural drawings, specifications and technical documentation using BIM and CAD tools.
• Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies and ensure compliance with UAE building codes and sustainability standards.
• Present design proposals to clients and stakeholders with clear visualisations.
• Oversee and mentor junior architects, providing feedback and guidance.
• Collaborate with engineers, contractors and consultants to resolve design challenges.
• Manage project timelines, budgets and deliverables while maintaining quality standards.
• Review and quality‑assure all architectural deliverables.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of professional architectural design experience, including commercial projects.
• At least 3 years in a senior or lead architectural role.
• Strong knowledge of UAE building codes, international standards and sustainability requirements.
• Excellent communication and client‑presentation skills.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in BIM software, especially Revit.
• Strong skills in CAD platforms such as AutoCAD.
