Senior Associate, Beauty Market Intelligence

About the role

Chalhoub Group is looking for a Senior Associate to join its Beauty Intelligence team. You will drive market research efforts, provide insights and foster data-driven decision-making, with a focus on the GCC region so that brands and partners have the information they need to succeed.

Key responsibilities

• Own the Prestige Beauty Panel update: aggregate structured and unstructured data into a single database visualised and maintained in Power BI
• Create monthly and quarterly reports on market size, shares and trends, and present them to brands and partners
• Develop and maintain local and regional beauty market models for the GCC, comparing regional trends with global insights
• Collect and verify regional and local market estimates for the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar and Oman, and work with brands on data verification
• Analyse performance with franchise brands, joint ventures and partners, covering market shifts, retail events, e-commerce trends, new launches and store openings and closures
• Stay up to date with industry developments and share findings to support strategic planning
• Develop and monitor beauty market projections, suggest cross-market and cross-channel analytics, and build partnerships to expand data sources
• Present analysis to internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, and handle ad-hoc requests
• Continuously improve reports, studies and deep dives on categories, sub-segments, trends and key retail periods

Required profile

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Business, Data Analytics, Marketing, Economics or a related field
• 4+ years of experience as a Market Intelligence Analyst (or equivalent), preferably in the beauty industry
• Familiarity with market research methodologies and competitive analysis
• Detail-oriented, able to manage several projects at once, collaborative and adaptable

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel and Power BI for data analysis, visualisation and reporting
• Strong analytical skills and excellent written and verbal communication
