Senior Associate Environmental

About the role

The Senior Associate Environmental will lead the implementation of environmental management standards across Aldar construction projects, ensuring compliance with Abu Dhabi Environmental Agency requirements, ISO 14001 and internal policies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain the Environmental Management System (EMS) and related policies such as Biodiversity, Waste Management and Operational Eco‑Efficiency.
• Monitor and audit external PMC, consultants and contractors to ensure compliance with permits, CEMP, EIA and other environmental regulations.
• Collect, analyse and report environmental performance data (air, water, terrestrial) and produce monthly dashboards.
• Coordinate pollution control, waste management, emergency response and renewable energy initiatives across projects.
• Support CSR strategies, pre‑qualification processes and liaison with authorities for environmental issues.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in environmental engineering within a large developer, construction firm or government sector.
• Strong knowledge of Abu Dhabi/GCC environmental regulations and ISO 14001 standards.
• Fluent in English and Arabic with excellent written and verbal communication.
• Degree in environmental or engineering discipline; ISO 14001 lead auditor certification preferred.
