Senior Attorney - Building Automation (Middle East, Turkey, Africa)

About the role

Honeywell Building Automation is looking for a Senior Attorney to act as legal advisor to the Middle East, Turkey and Africa Building Automation business. The role reports directly to the General Counsel of the region and works out of the Dubai, UAE office on a hybrid schedule aligned with the direct manager. It covers the BA Products, Services and Project business unit, supporting compliance with laws and regulations while mitigating legal risk.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and support on a broad range of corporate and commercial matters
• Review, draft and negotiate contracts, agreements and other legal documents
• Collaborate with business units and cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate legal risks
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
• Support the management of external legal counsel and legal projects

Required profile

• 6+ years of experience practicing law, with a strong background in corporate and commercial legal matters
• Professional proficiency in written and spoken Arabic
• Proven ability to review and negotiate complex contracts and agreements
• In-depth knowledge of the laws and regulations relevant to the business
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing legal risks
• Familiarity with managing external legal counsel
• LLB or JD from an accredited law school, and licensed to practice as an advocate, attorney or solicitor in at least one jurisdiction
• Experience in a corporate legal department or law firm setting
