Senior Aviation Medical Examiner

About the role

Manage a clinical caseload and provide specialised medical expertise in Aviation Medicine, ensuring air crew receive high‑quality care that complies with regulatory standards and international best practice.

Key responsibilities

• Provide specialised care in line with HAAD and Civil Aviation regulations, determining fit‑to‑fly conditions.
• Respond to medical emergencies in the Medical Centre, delivering required care to ensure patient health and safety.
• Participate in specialist service reviews, audits and data analysis to improve operational efficiency and ensure compliance with health and aviation authorities.
• Assist in policy formulation, develop clinical care pathways with healthcare partners, and support general medicine consultations as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum Diploma in Medicine with post‑graduation qualification in Aviation Medicine recognised by the Abu Dhabi Health Authority.
• HAAD licence to practice in the specialty.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience, including a minimum of 5 years in aviation medicine.
• Strong knowledge of HAAD/GCAA regulations and standards.
