Senior Civil Engineer – Assistant Resident Engineer

About the role

AECOM is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to act as Assistant Resident Engineer, supporting the Resident Engineer in supervising construction activities for storm‑water and sewage treatment plant projects across the UAE.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise site inspections, review daily reports, and prepare the Engineer's Daily Diary.
• Review and approve contractor shop drawings, material submittals, and testing requests.
• Coordinate with contractors, utility providers, and UAE authorities (RTA, DM, DEWA, Etisalat, DU, Civil Defense) to obtain NOCs and resolve compliance issues.
• Monitor construction progress against the baseline program and ensure adherence to HSE standards.
• Prepare technical correspondence, meeting minutes, and as‑built documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in storm‑water and sewage treatment plant construction, including supervision, testing, and commissioning.
• Extensive UAE project experience with knowledge of local codes, authority procedures, and environmental regulations.
