Senior Cloud Platform Engineer (GCP)

About the role

Mozn, an enterprise AI company focused on financial crime prevention and enterprise knowledge intelligence, is looking for a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer to design, build and evolve scalable, secure and cost-efficient cloud platforms on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The engineer will create reusable platform blueprints, infrastructure abstractions and automated workflows that simplify infrastructure provisioning and application delivery, driving initiatives from design through production.

Key responsibilities

• Design and operate reliable cloud-native platforms on GCP, centred on GKE, and build reusable platform blueprints, modules and abstractions for self-service infrastructure.
• Manage the lifecycle of Kubernetes clusters, including upgrades, scaling, performance and resource utilization.
• Build and maintain GitHub Actions workflows and GitOps pipelines with Argo CD or Flux, and implement policy-driven deployments with OPA/Gatekeeper and Kyverno.
• Develop automation and internal tooling in Python, Bash or Go to remove manual operations.
• Troubleshoot Kubernetes networking, ingress, service discovery and traffic management, and work with gateways and service meshes such as Istio, NGINX and HAProxy.
• Diagnose complex production issues across cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes and deployment workflows.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to simplify application onboarding, and apply security best practices across IAM, workload identity, network policies and platform governance.
• Identify cost optimization opportunities through capacity planning, autoscaling and workload rightsizing.

Required profile

• 6+ years of experience in cloud, platform or infrastructure engineering.
• Deep hands-on expertise in GCP and Kubernetes, including production experience with GKE.
• Proven troubleshooting skills and the ability to independently own and deliver complex technical initiatives.
• Experience building reusable infrastructure modules, platform blueprints or developer self-service capabilities.

Required skills

• Infrastructure as code with Terraform, Pulumi, Crossplane or equivalent.
• GitOps (Argo CD/Flux) and GitHub Actions/Workflows.
• Familiarity with OPA/Gatekeeper or Kyverno.
• Proficiency in Python, Bash or Go.
• Strong understanding of cloud networking, Linux and distributed systems.

Preferred: MLOps, AI infrastructure and GPU workloads; OCI or AWS exposure; observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Loki or Datadog.
