About the role
Standard Bank Group is seeking a Senior Credit Manager to lead credit approval and management for its Middle East and North Africa portfolio. The role involves overseeing a team of Credit Managers and ensuring efficient, compliant credit processes.
Key responsibilities
- Provide an efficient and effective credit approval and management process for the allocated portfolio.
- Develop and maintain cooperative relationships with all stakeholders in the credit value chain.
- Manage and mentor a team of Credit Managers.
Required profile
- 8‑10 years of experience with lending and derivative products that generate counter‑party credit risk.
- Strong knowledge of financial markets, global economy, and regional dynamics relevant to the portfolio.
- Thorough understanding of credit procedures, policies, Basel regulations and compliance requirements.
Required skills
- Credit risk assessment and measurement.
- Risk identification and documentation management.
