Senior Customer Engineer, Regional Oil & Gas

About the role

The Senior Customer Engineer will lead technical pre‑sales activities for regional oil & gas network operations centres (NOC). This role bridges customer requirements with Armada’s edge and cloud solutions, ensuring designs meet operational, regulatory and performance needs.

Key responsibilities

• Own technical pre‑sales for regional NOC accounts: discovery, solution design, demos, proofs of concept and technical proposals.
• Design integrated edge solutions, selecting enclosures, hardware sizing, network strategies and application deployment approaches.
• Translate upstream, midstream and downstream use cases (real‑time analytics, edge AI, data sovereignty) into Armada architectures.
• Lead and document proofs of concept in partnership with product, delivery and partner engineering teams.
• Serve as the customer's technical point of contact through implementation and execution.
• Act as trusted technical advisor to engineering and IT/OT stakeholders at both working and decision‑maker levels.
• Position Armada’s Galleon, Atlas and Bridge platforms and the Microsoft Azure Local / NVIDIA / Qualcomm stack against alternatives, highlighting sovereignty, speed and scale.
• Maintain deep knowledge of Armada’s partner ecosystem and design joint solutions that combine partner technologies.
• Interface with partners and system integrators on shared NOC engagements, aligning architectures and dividing scope.
• Support bid and RFP responses with technical content, architecture diagrams, solution selection and effort estimates.
• Collaborate with Account Executives and the Energy Value Advisor to advance pipeline and shorten sales cycles.
• Provide customer and field insights to product management to shape the roadmap for energy use cases.

Required profile

• 8+ years of pre‑sales, solution architecture or customer/sales engineering experience, with direct oil & gas sector exposure (hard requirement).
• Strong understanding of edge computing, data‑centre infrastructure, cloud and AI/ML solution architecture.
• Proven ability to lead technical conversations with engineering teams and senior decision‑makers.
