Senior Developer

About the role

The Senior Developer will design, develop, implement, and support enterprise applications that improve business operations across Sharjah Education Academy. This role blends software development, business analysis, systems integration, and stakeholder engagement to deliver scalable technology solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy and maintain enterprise applications and digital solutions aligned with the Academy’s strategic objectives.
• Lead the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), translating business requirements into secure, scalable technology.
• Manage and enhance institutional systems such as ERP, LMS, SIS, HR, and Finance, including API and data‑exchange integrations.
• Collaborate with internal departments, vendors, and technology partners to identify automation opportunities and drive digital transformation.
• Monitor cloud‑based and on‑premises environments for performance, reliability, security and capacity planning.
• Provide advanced technical support, conduct quality assurance testing, and produce comprehensive documentation and user training.
• Lead technology projects, coordinate with vendors, and contribute to solution architecture decisions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 6 years of progressive experience in full‑stack development and enterprise applications.
• Proven experience with enterprise systems integration and microservices architecture.
• Experience in higher education, government, or large‑enterprise environments.
• Professional certifications in software development, cloud technologies, Agile or project management are a plus.

• Full‑stack development with React, Next.js, Node.js, NestJS.
• Microsoft Azure (Azure Fabric) and cloud‑native services.
• API design, development and integration.
• CI/CD pipeline management and DevOps practices.
• SQL and relational database management.
