Senior Director – Sustainable Finance (Wholesale Banking)

About the role

The Senior Director – Sustainable Finance will lead the origination, structuring and execution of sustainable and transition finance solutions across Wholesale Banking, supporting corporate, investment and financial institution clients in their energy transition and decarbonisation strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Originating and structuring green loans, sustainability‑linked loans, green bonds, sustainability bonds and transition finance instruments.
• Advising clients on sustainability strategies and frameworks aligned with ICMA and LMA principles.
• Acting as the point of contact for Relationship Managers on sustainable finance and ESG enquiries.
• Collaborating with product teams to develop new sustainable solutions.
• Monitoring global regulatory developments including ISSB, EU CSRD and EU Taxonomy.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, sustainability or a related discipline (preferred).
• 8‑12 years of experience in corporate banking, investment banking or sustainable finance.
• Proven experience structuring green bonds or sustainability‑linked loans.
• Experience working with large corporate or institutional clients.
• Strong understanding of ICMA Green Bond Principles and LMA Sustainability Linked Loan Principles.
