Senior Electrical Engineer – Quantum Sensing

About the role

The Technology Innovation Institute's Quantum Research Center is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer for its Quatum Research Center. The team develops next-generation quantum sensing devices and aims to deliver market-ready quantum sensors with impact on international and local high-tech ecosystems. The position is full-time and based in the United Arab Emirates.

Key responsibilities

• Design and prototype electrical subsystems and components for advanced sensing systems in full-cycle hands-on R&D projects.
• Work closely with researchers and engineers to turn scientific and technical requirements into electronic design specifications.
• Supervise outsourced development processes.
• Take part in laboratory and field tests.
• Prepare high-quality technical documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor, Master or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 4+ years of relevant experience, preferably in sensing-related R&D.
• Independent, creative problem solving and system-level thinking.
• Experience with prototyping, integration and testing/validation.

Required skills

• PCB schematic and layout design software.
• Analog and digital signal acquisition, processing and control.
• Precision and low-noise circuit design.
• EMC and EMI knowledge and mitigation techniques.
• High-speed digital signals, RF and FPGA programming are a plus.
