Senior Engineer – Construction Structural

About the role

Penspen is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead structural construction activities for oil and gas projects in the UAE. The role involves supervising site execution, managing contractors, and ensuring compliance with HSE and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate structural construction activities within the fabrication yard, ensuring work follows project specifications, drawings, HSE and quality standards.
• Monitor fabrication, assembly and erection processes to meet project schedules and resolve construction issues in collaboration with engineering, QA/QC, planning and subcontractors.
• Review construction drawings, work packs and method statements, conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards.
• Track progress, identify risks, implement corrective actions and support mechanical completion, pre‑commissioning and project handover activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in oil & gas construction, including at least 5 years in a lead role.
• At least 5 years of offshore experience is mandatory.
• Experience with structural steel fabrication, assembly and erection, preferably on international PMC/EPC and fabrication yard projects.
• Previous involvement in ADNOC projects is an advantage.
