Senior Engineer – Highways (Saudi Nationals)

About the role

Join Sener to shape the future of rail infrastructure in the Kingdom’s Landbridge Program. As a Senior Engineer – Highways you will lead the design of highways, access roads and intermodal connections that support major railway projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop highway engineering designs, calculations, specifications and detailed drawings for rail‑related projects.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary design activities with rail, civil, structures, geotechnical, drainage, utilities and environmental teams.
• Ensure compliance with client requirements, local and international standards, and support quality assurance processes.
• Participate in design reviews, technical workshops and value‑engineering studies to identify risks and propose cost‑effective solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and share best practices across the project team.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Highway or Transportation Engineering (advantageous).
• Professional Engineering registration or equivalent certification (preferred).
• Minimum 10 years of highway engineering design experience, including at least 5 years on rail infrastructure projects.
• Proven track record delivering large‑scale transportation and infrastructure projects, preferably in an international consultancy environment.
