Senior Engineer – Protection & Control Maintenance

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Engineer to lead the protection, control, automation and metering maintenance activities for high‑voltage transmission substations in Dubai. The role involves hands‑on work in live 400/132/11/0.4 kV environments, ensuring reliability and compliance with international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot protection, control, automation and metering equipment across 400 kV to 0.4 kV substations.
• Perform testing of numerical devices using computerized test sets and validate results.
• Verify and update control, protection and metering scheme drawings.
• Operate safely in live substation conditions and prepare detailed method statements.
• Ensure all work adheres to current IEC and cybersecurity standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience in substation protection and control maintenance.
• Proven ability to work independently on live‑site projects.
• Strong knowledge of international protection, automation and cybersecurity standards.
• Experience preparing method statements and technical documentation.
