Senior Facilities Engineer

About the role

KAIZEN Asset Management Services, a property management firm in Dubai, is looking for a seasoned and detail-oriented Senior Facilities Engineer. The role uses extensive knowledge of facility management to ensure the operational excellence of its properties, supporting tenant satisfaction and building performance. The engineer oversees complex building systems and maintenance, leads troubleshooting, manages maintenance personnel and ensures compliance with safety regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the operation, maintenance and repair of all building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical and structural elements.
• Inspect and assess buildings to identify issues and improve system performance and reduce downtime.
• Lead and mentor the facilities team and foster collaboration.
• Develop and maintain preventive and corrective maintenance programmes.
• Coordinate contractors and vendors for major repairs and renovations within quality and budget standards.
• Prepare and manage the facilities budget, including estimating costs for repairs and upgrades.
• Conduct energy audits and implement sustainability and energy-efficiency initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, health and safety and environmental requirements.
• Report facilities performance and project progress to management and stay up to date with industry trends and best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Facility Management or a related field.
• Minimum 5-8 years of experience in facilities management, with a focus on engineering roles.
• Proven experience overseeing building operations and maintenance, preferably in a senior capacity.
• Valid UAE driver's licence.

Required skills

• Strong technical expertise in HVAC, electrical, plumbing and fire safety systems.
• Proficiency in facility management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance standards.
• Leadership, analytical and problem-solving skills, and strong communication with clients and maintenance staff.
