Senior Financial Analyst / Sr. Commercial Engineer

About the role

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst / Sr. Commercial Engineer to join its multidisciplinary team in Dubai. The role focuses on developing, consolidating and defending cost estimates for engineering and construction projects, ensuring commercial viability and risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and consolidate estimates for assigned bids under the Commercial Manager’s direction.
• Extract commercial requirements from client RFPs and integrate them into estimates.
• Collaborate with technical teams to translate level‑of‑effort inputs into cost models.
• Build transparent, defendable unit‑rate estimates and perform benchmarking against past bids.
• Document assumptions, conduct sensitivity analysis and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Identify project risks, propose contingency costs and maintain a risk register.
• Present estimate outcomes clearly to senior management and meet delivery deadlines.
• Support the office safety culture with zero lost‑time accidents.

Required profile

• 6–10 years of experience in engineering and construction cost estimating.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience on major water, urban development, ports & marine, or transportation projects.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
