Senior Geotechnical Engineer

About the role

Bureau Veritas is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to lead design and investigation activities for building and infrastructure foundations in Dubai. The role involves delivering technical evaluations, client engagement, and supporting commercial actions.

Key responsibilities

• Perform soil classification, strength and stability analyses, and load‑bearing capacity assessments.
• Provide third‑party design verification, engineering recommendations, construction guidance and design optimisation.
• Prepare comprehensive technical reports and attend meetings with clients and authorities.
• Participate in tender preparation, commercial actions and knowledge‑management activities.

Required profile

• University degree in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering (post‑graduate preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Geotechnical Engineer, including independent site investigations and complex soil analysis.
• Familiarity with international building codes, environmental regulations and risk management.

Required skills

• AutoCAD, PLAXIS, GIS and other 3D ground‑modelling software.
• Finite‑element modelling, statistical analysis and risk prediction tools.
• Geophysical survey techniques, GPR, borehole investigation and laboratory soil testing.
• Geotechnical instrumentation operation and interpretation.
