Senior Internal Auditor – Governance & Compliance

About the role

The Senior Internal Auditor – Governance & Compliance Audit will lead strategic audit assignments, test internal controls, assess risk management, ensure regulatory compliance and support the development of the internal audit team through targeted training and fieldwork guidance.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate internal control systems for strategic activities and governance practices to identify key audit areas.
• Implement internal audit tasks related to strategic and governance activities in line with the approved audit plan.
• Monitor compliance with applicable policies, systems and regulations in strategic areas.
• Report on the implementation of the annual internal audit plan and follow up on recommendation closure.
• Provide advisory services to organizational units on auditing, internal control of strategic activities and corporate governance.
• Coordinate with government control and audit entities, review responses and ensure relevance.
• Execute specialized activities such as delivering DGEP requirements, performing assessments, running QAIPs and maintaining ISO certification documentation.
• Deliver training and education to internal audit staff to build capabilities for governance audit tasks.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or Law.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in internal audit, risk management or compliance.
