Senior Internal Auditor

About the role

The Senior Internal Auditor ensures the quality execution of audits in coordination with the Audit Leadership, auditing systems and processes and reporting the degree of compliance. The role makes management aware of risk implementation gaps and contributes to the group's control and risk framework.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development of the Annual Controls Review plan by identifying and evaluating the organization's audit risk areas.
• Support management in finalizing audit scope and the detailed audit plan, then review the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, including fraud risk areas, and assess compliance with policies and procedures.
• Identify audit issues and root causes, recommend improvements, and ensure corrective action plans are developed and implemented on time.
• Carry out end-to-end process reviews within budget and in line with IIA standards, collate observations, finalize the draft audit report with the auditee and present it to Audit Management.
• Conduct special field audits on request of operating companies or on the advice of the Audit Manager.
• Contribute to risk assessment and help risk owners develop and implement risk mitigation plans.
• Enhance the control assessment methodology, maintain the group-wide risk-control library, and build working relationships with stakeholders and process owners.
• Guide and support peers to deliver high-quality work.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant (CA/ACCA/CPA) or MBA (Finance); CIA / CFE qualification is an advantage.
• At least 5 years of experience reviewing internal audit across multiple industries.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail, professional scepticism, strong organization and follow-up skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities.
