Senior Manager Commercial Planning

About the role

Etihad Airways is seeking a Senior Manager Commercial Planning to translate commercial strategy into coordinated action across the organization, aligning Revenue Management, Sales, Marketing, Loyalty, Sponsorships, Alliances and other functions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop commercial strategy, using analysis to generate insights and recommendations.
• Coordinate strategic priorities across multiple commercial functions to ensure alignment.
• Assess commercial activity, challenge assumptions and adjust direction based on evidence.
• Lead strategic projects, partnering with senior stakeholders across business areas.
• Translate priorities into business and technical requirements, project plans and implementation activities.
• Facilitate stakeholder collaboration when priorities or market conditions change.
• Monitor progress, establish measures and identify areas for improvement.
• Act as a catalyst for change, influencing stakeholders to achieve commercial outcomes.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years experience in commercial strategy, planning or transformation, preferably in aviation or a complex commercial environment.
• Strong understanding of how commercial functions drive market and revenue performance.
• Proven experience leading cross‑functional strategic projects and translating strategy into execution.
• Excellent analytical ability to turn complex information into clear recommendations.
• Experience managing change and influencing stakeholders at multiple levels.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Leadership experience managing teams across different locations.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in strategy, business transformation or related field.
