Senior Manager – Subsea Construction & Installation

About the role

Penspen is urgently seeking a Senior Manager to lead construction and installation of subsea pipelines, cables and structures on an offshore oil & gas project in Abu Dhabi. The role provides overall leadership across engineering, marine operations, ROV activities and client interfaces to ensure safe, efficient delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and execute installation of subsea pipelines, flowlines, power/control cables, umbilicals and related offshore facilities.
• Define and implement subsea construction strategy, execution philosophy, installation sequence and campaign schedule.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams including construction vessels, marine operations, ROV/survey crews, contractors, procurement, QA/QC and HSE.
• Ensure resources, vessels, equipment and materials are available and aligned with project milestones.
• Resolve high‑level construction and installation issues and maintain alignment with approved project objectives.

Required profile

• Minimum 20 + years of engineering experience with at least 8‑10 years in offshore subsea projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline from an accredited university.
• Proven track record in offshore pipeline, cable and structure installation, including tie‑ins, crossings, trenching and burial.

Required skills

• S‑lay, J‑lay, reel‑lay and tow‑out installation methods.
• ROV operations and subsea survey activities.
• Subsea power/control cable and umbilical installation techniques.
• Pipeline and flowline installation, including trenching and burial.
