Senior Manager – Trade Operations

About the role

Standard Chartered is seeking a Senior Manager to lead Trade Operations in Dubai. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality, compliant trade services while supporting the bank’s growth strategy and cross‑functional initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure timely responses to business requirements.
• Own end‑to‑end business transactions, ensuring completion at all stages.
• Handle operational control reconciliations, analysis, remediation tasks and management information reporting.
• Produce accurate non‑financial regulatory reports for AME countries.
• Manage client queries, complaints, and referral management for non‑Premier portfolios.
• Review daily trade control reports, resolve gaps or exceptions, and liaise with GBS to clear open items.
• Monitor AML and sanctions queues, ensuring swift closure of alerts.
• Support intragroup arrangements, service matrix reviews, and migration documentation.
• Provide ad‑hoc investigative support for audits and historical transaction checks.
• Update process documentation, train staff on changes, and ensure adequate backup coverage.

Required profile

• Demonstrated ability to align with group strategy and deliver a human‑centred client experience.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Attention to detail with a focus on compliance and risk mitigation.
• Proactive problem‑solver capable of handling high‑volume, time‑sensitive tasks.

Required skills

• Experience with trade operations, regulatory reporting, and AML monitoring.
• Knowledge of reconciliation processes (Nostro, Suspense, TP/GL).
• Familiarity with GBS collaboration and service delivery models.
