Senior Marine Surveyor

About the role

ABL, an Aqualis Group company, is seeking a Senior Marine Surveyor to deliver high‑quality marine and engineering consultancy services across the United Arab Emirates. The role combines extensive seagoing experience with technical expertise to conduct surveys, inspections and casualty investigations for a diverse client base.

Key responsibilities

• Undertake marine surveys, hull and machinery inspections, condition assessments and casualty investigations.
• Prepare technical reports, repair cost estimates and recommendations for clients.
• Lead or support project delivery, ensuring budgets, timelines and quality standards are met.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, timesheets and monitor Work in Progress for timely invoicing.
• Support business development activities and promote ABL’s consultancy services.
• Uphold QHSE standards and company policies.

Required profile

• Chief Engineer (STCW III/2) or equivalent maritime qualification.
• Minimum 5 years experience as a senior engineering officer (e.g., Second Engineer).
• Strong seagoing background with proven ability to lead technical assessments.
