About the role
Ensure safe and smooth operation of all entry‑end equipment including uncoiler, stitching and tension. Follow established operating procedures to meet production targets.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct pre‑operation checks to verify machinery condition.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols during coil handling, cutting, and changeovers.
- Inspect coated coils for surface defects, gloss level, colour shade, and edge quality.
- Maintain accurate records of production runs, output quantities and machine performance data.
- Communicate with coating, entry and maintenance teams for seamless line operation.
- Lead shift handover meetings with proper documentation.
- Respond quickly to line stoppages or mechanical/electrical issues at exit/entry sections.
Required skills
- Operation of entry‑end equipment (uncoiler, stitching, tension).
- Conducting pre‑operation checks and routine maintenance.
- Coil quality inspection (surface defects, gloss, colour, edge).
- Production record keeping and performance data logging.
