Senior Oracle DBA - WebLogic & EBS

About the role

ECS is looking for a senior technical resource with strong expertise in Oracle Database Administration and a comprehensive knowledge of the Oracle technology stack. The role covers Oracle databases on Exadata, Oracle WebLogic and Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) in a mission-critical, regulated enterprise environment, working with Application Support, Development, IT Infrastructure teams and the Product Owner.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, upgrade and maintain Oracle databases (12c/18c/19c) and Oracle EBS environments; apply patches to Oracle RAC and Oracle EBS (R12.x).
• Perform performance tuning, capacity planning and optimization; implement backup and recovery with RMAN and Data Guard; monitor health with Oracle Enterprise Manager.
• Support Exadata OS C database patching.
• Manage Oracle E-Business Suite (R12.x) including patching, cloning and concurrent manager tuning; support deployments, upgrades and integrations; troubleshoot across database, application and web tiers.
• Configure and maintain WebLogic Server, tune JVM performance and threads, clone and patch WebLogic 10.3.6+, and manage BIP servers 11g+.
• Implement database security policies, access controls and encryption; ensure compliance with audits and maintain audit trails.
• Develop and maintain PL/SQL and shell scripts for automation and monitoring.
• Work with developers, system admins and business analysts, and mentor junior DBAs.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, IT or a related field.
• 8-10 years of experience as an Oracle DBA with strong exposure to Oracle Applications and WebLogic.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and documentation skills, and good communication and stakeholder management.

Preferred: MS SQL / Azure SQL / MySQL, Java application deployment, GoldenGate 21c with microservices, hybrid cloud (Azure, Oracle Cloud), ITIL and DevOps. Preferred certifications: OCP Database Administration, Oracle WebLogic Server, ITIL Foundation.
