Senior Payable Accountant

About the role

The Senior Payable Accountant will lead the payable function, ensuring accurate and timely processing of all supplier and partner payments while maintaining strong relationships and compliance with local tax regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coach the payable accounting team.
• Prepare monthly payable reports, including ageing, payment, and reconciliation statements.
• Review payable documents for accuracy and compliance with invoices, contracts, purchase orders, and approvals.
• Process payments using approved channels and adhere to company policies.
• Perform periodic reconciliations of beneficiary statements and monitor credit limits.
• Ensure proper general ledger posting for all invoices and expenses.
• Collaborate with the supplier relationship unit to address long‑aged dues.
• Reconcile payable‑related GL accounts and investigate variances.
• Prepare adjustment entries such as debit/credit notes.
• Maintain accurate VAT accounting in line with Federal Tax Authority regulations.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in payable accounting.
• Strong knowledge of VAT compliance and local tax laws.
• Ability to lead a team and manage multiple reporting cycles.
