About the role
An experienced engineer is sought to lead the design and technical coordination of post-tensioned concrete structures. The role covers design, calculations, coordination with consultants and site teams, and mentoring junior staff.
Key responsibilities
- Design PT slabs and prepare structural calculations and technical reports.
- Review shop drawings, tendon layouts and reinforcement details.
- Carry out strength, punching shear, deflection and serviceability checks.
- Develop value-engineering solutions to optimise structural design.
- Coordinate with consultants, third-party reviewers and site teams.
- Guide junior engineers and draftsmen to meet submission deadlines.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Strong experience in post-tensioning design, including high-rise and residential projects.
- Ability to manage designs independently and resolve technical comments.
- UAE experience and familiarity with authority requirements are preferred.
Required skills
- Proficiency in RAM Concept, ETABS and SAFE.
- Good knowledge of ACI and Eurocode requirements.
