Senior Procurement Engineer – Solar PV EPC

About the role

Dome Group is seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Engineer to lead procurement, sourcing and vendor management for its growing portfolio of Solar PV EPC projects across the UAE and GCC. The role covers rooftop, carport and ground‑mounted installations, ranging from commercial‑and‑industrial to utility‑scale projects up to 50 MWp.

Key responsibilities

• Drive end‑to‑end procurement from tendering and budgeting through execution, commissioning and close‑out.
• Source major Solar PV equipment such as modules, inverters, mounting structures/trackers, transformers, MV/HV gear, switchgear, cables, SCADA/PPC systems and other BOS materials.
• Obtain competitive, technically compliant quotations and lead commercial negotiations with local and international suppliers, OEMs and subcontractors.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, Incoterms, delivery schedules, warranties, liquidated damages and other commercial clauses.
• Maintain procurement costs within approved budgets, identify cost‑saving and value‑engineering opportunities.
• Develop and sustain an Approved Vendor List and strategic relationships with Tier‑1 manufacturers.
• Manage procurement schedules, long‑lead items, manufacturing, logistics, customs clearance and site delivery.
• Identify and mitigate supply‑chain risks that could affect cost, availability or project timelines.
• Coordinate closely with Engineering, Project Management, Planning and QA/QC teams and report status to senior management.

Required profile

• 8–12 years of procurement and supply‑chain experience, preferably in Solar PV, renewable energy or power EPC.
• Strong technical knowledge of PV modules, inverters, structures, transformers, MV/HV equipment, switchgear, cables and BOS components.
• Proven track record negotiating high‑value purchase orders and managing international logistics.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet tight schedules and ensure compliance with project specifications.
