Senior Procurement Officer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Procurement Officer to lead end‑to‑end category strategies for raw materials, indirect services and subcontractors in the UAE. The role combines strategic sourcing, data‑driven analysis and hands‑on execution to safeguard margins and ensure uninterrupted plant operations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute category strategies, moving beyond simple three‑quote analysis to Total Cost of Ownership assessments.
• Identify workflow inefficiencies and redesign the Procure‑to‑Pay (P2P) cycle for greater agility.
• Build dynamic dashboards using advanced Google Sheets, Power Query, Pivot tables and Power BI.
• Pioneer generative‑AI tools for market intelligence, contract analysis and automated reporting.
• Own the full procurement lifecycle, from stakeholder requirements to vendor performance monitoring.
• Navigate UAE market volatility, manage rate‑change requests and mitigate logistics disruptions.
• Act as a trusted advisor to Finance, Operations and senior leadership, translating complex data into actionable insights.
• Oversee contracts, critical spare‑parts sourcing and outsourced processing to prevent business disruption.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Operations on “Function vs. Cost” analyses and implement “Should‑Cost” modeling during negotiations.

Required profile

• 5+ years of procurement experience, including at least 3 years in a senior or strategic role within the UAE.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business or Engineering; professional certification (CIPS Level 4/5 or CPSM) preferred.
• High emotional intelligence, strong negotiation abilities and proven influence with C‑suite stakeholders.
• Mindset focused on building systems rather than following existing manuals.
