Senior Procurement Specialist – Pharmaceutical

About the role

Julphar is seeking a Senior Procurement Specialist to manage purchase orders and supplier relationships for pharmaceutical raw materials and finished products. The role ensures that all procured items meet quality specifications, are delivered on time, and align with cost‑control objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Create and validate purchase orders for raw materials, commercial items, and finished products using the approved vendor list.
• Negotiate terms, evaluate supplier performance, and resolve supply discrepancies.
• Monitor daily purchase requisitions and deliveries across the department.
• Prepare procurement KPI reports and drive continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure alignment with business needs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical Science.
• Minimum 5 years of supply‑chain experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Procurement or supply‑chain certification is a plus.
• Solution‑oriented mindset with strong decision‑making and cost‑consciousness.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work across functions.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Hands‑on experience with SAP (and SAP Ariba preferred).
• Strong analytical abilities and familiarity with data‑analysis tools.
• Effective negotiation and supplier‑management capabilities.
