Senior Project Manager Design - Infrastructure

About the role

GHD is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager – Design Management to lead the design delivery of complex infrastructure and master‑planning projects in Abu Dhabi. The role involves coordinating multidisciplinary teams, ensuring compliance with local authority requirements, and delivering high‑quality outcomes for clients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the design process across infrastructure and master‑planning projects, aligning with client expectations and regulatory standards.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams and external consultants to produce timely, high‑quality outputs.
• Oversee design reviews, approvals, and compliance with local authority requirements such as ADM and ADWEA.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, risks, and change‑control processes.
• Facilitate stakeholder engagement with clients, contractors, and government entities.
• Support pre‑contract and post‑contract phases, including technical evaluations and tender documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in design management for infrastructure and master‑planning, preferably in the UAE or GCC region.
• Proven track record managing design for high‑rise, mixed‑use, commercial, or institutional projects.
• Strong understanding of local authority processes and permitting requirements.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and coordination skills.
