Senior Purchase Executive - Building Materials

About the role

Careers International is hiring a Senior Purchase Executive in Dubai to manage and oversee the procurement of building materials. The role ensures quality, cost-effectiveness and timely supply, covering supplier management, contract negotiation and alignment with company requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Source and procure building materials such as cement, steel, aggregates, electrical and plumbing items and tiles, ensuring they meet project specifications and maintain optimal stock levels.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, evaluate vendor performance and negotiate terms, contracts and pricing.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms and delivery schedules, resolve conflicts such as delivery delays or defective goods, and identify new suppliers to reduce dependency on single sources.
• Monitor stock levels, reorder supplies and keep accurate records of receipts, issues and stock movement.
• Work within assigned budgets, analyse market trends and pricing to forecast needs and control procurement costs.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations, and keep purchase records, pricing and contracts ready for audits.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers and site supervisors on material requirements and timelines, and report regularly on availability and delivery schedules.
• Prepare procurement reports on cost analysis, supplier performance and stock levels, and track purchase orders, receipts and invoices.
