Senior QA/QC - Civil

About the role

Careers International is recruiting a Senior QA/QC professional for civil construction in Dubai. The role oversees and manages quality assurance and quality control processes for civil construction projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and enforce quality management plans and procedures.
• Verify that materials meet specifications, including checking material certifications and carrying out material inspections.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of finished work, with a strong focus on civil finishes.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors and designers to maintain quality control across construction phases.
• Review and approve work processes and techniques for civil finishes, such as surface preparation, application methods and finishing techniques.
• Monitor corrective actions where defects or deviations from quality standards are found.
• Prepare and submit detailed quality reports, including inspection findings, corrective actions and quality assessments, to project management.
• Train project staff on quality assurance processes, quality control procedures and best practices for civil finishing work.
• Ensure safety and environmental standards are met during quality control activities and resolve quality-related issues with subcontractors, suppliers and project teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in the construction industry.
• Proven QA/QC management experience in civil construction, including oversight of civil finishing works.
• In-depth knowledge of quality control systems, construction standards and industry regulations.
• Relevant quality management certifications (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma) are a plus.
