Senior Relationship Manager - Private Banking, Middle East & Africa

About the role

Julius Baer is hiring a Senior Relationship Manager for its Private Banking business, based in Dubai. The Relationship Manager is the main point of contact for High Net Worth and Ultra High Net Worth clients, acting as an external ambassador for the bank and managing their portfolios proactively and autonomously. The role also involves acquiring new client relationships, mentoring junior team members and acting as part of the first line of defence for risk and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Serve clients with the highest quality standards, responding to their needs promptly and tailoring contact frequency to their preferences
• Deliver comprehensive wealth management solutions and investment advice in line with the bank's policies and risk appetite
• Acquire new clients and grow existing ones through cross-selling and deeper engagement
• Manage at-risk clients and develop succession strategies to reduce attrition and generational transfer losses
• Take part in client initiatives, marketing strategies and ad hoc projects requested by management
• Maintain a strong conduct culture: high-quality KYC, timely resolution of alerts and notifications, and escalation of risks and compliance issues to Group Heads and the second line of defence

Required profile

• Proven track record of at least 7-10 years in Private Banking, servicing a book of HNW clients and acquiring new relationships
• Sound affinity with the geographic market(s) to be covered and cultural awareness
• Familiarity with the legal and regulatory environment and willingness to travel
• Good judgement, ability to work under pressure, and autonomy in planning and organising work
