Senior Site Architect – Dubai

About the role

John R Harris & Partners – Dubai is seeking a Senior Site Architect to join its Supervision team. The role involves overseeing high‑rise residential and hospitality projects across the UAE, ensuring design quality, compliance, and seamless coordination with all stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Attend weekly progress meetings and support the Resident Engineer.
• Chair technical meetings with client, contractor and subcontractors, documenting outcomes.
• Monitor project progress and quality against contract terms.
• Liaise with local authorities and utilities to secure NOCs and approvals.
• Review and approve architectural and interior design submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
• Coordinate and supervise all architectural and interior design works on site.
• Assess contractor claims and provide recommendations to the Resident Engineer.
• Ensure compliance with contractual and technical requirements, responding to contractor communications promptly.
• Approve as‑built drawings, warranties, maintenance manuals and close‑out reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture.
• Minimum 12 years of experience, with at least 5 years as a Site Architect in the UAE.
• Proven experience on high‑rise residential and hospitality projects.
• Strong knowledge of local construction laws, international codes, and FIDIC contracts.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Commercial management experience.
