Senior Structural Designer

About the role

A leading multidisciplinary consultancy specialising in architecture, interior design and building services engineering is looking for an experienced Senior Structural Designer to lead its Structural Engineering Department in Dubai. The role covers both technical design and departmental leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Lead structural design for RCC and steel buildings from concept to detailed design.
• Perform structural analysis and modelling using ETABS, SAFE and SAP2000.
• Review structural drawings, design calculations, technical reports and engineering deliverables.
• Ensure compliance with ACI, BS, ASCE 7 and relevant local authority regulations.
• Coordinate with architectural and MEP teams for seamless design integration.
• Lead, mentor and develop the structural engineering team, and build on the technical growth of existing team members.
• Oversee design quality, technical decisions, project delivery and compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 10-15 years of experience in structural design consultancy.
• Proven leadership experience, with the ability to stay hands-on in technical design and analysis.

Required skills

• Strong expertise in complex building structures, including RCC and steel.
• Proficiency in ETABS, SAFE and SAP2000; working knowledge of Revit.
• Strong knowledge of international structural design codes and standards.
