Senior Structural Engineer

About the role

Ali & Sons Marine Engineering Factory (ASMEF) is seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to support its Design and Engineering Department. The role involves developing, reviewing, verifying, and coordinating engineering design deliverables for complex Oil & Gas and marine projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare design requests, input documents, and change notes for in‑house and subcontracted activities.
• Review and verify design and development documents before approval or construction.
• Perform engineering calculations, stress analysis, and yard handling/lifting studies.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, classification societies, third‑party agencies, and design subcontractors.
• Maintain document control sheets and ensure design documentation is up‑to‑date.
• Support project execution by providing timely engineering inputs and technical support.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant engineering design experience (12–15 years preferred).
• Hands‑on experience in Oil & Gas, EPC, fabrication, marine, or heavy engineering environments.
